We are so pleased to share that a beautiful and talented young woman has been added to the Vixxen Family and we could not have dreamed of a more perfect fit than Marselin. Born in a small town in Russia as Mariya Chernukha, Marselin has always loved to draw. At the tender age of 10 she was interested in being a cynologist because of her love of dogs but she found drawing was her true passion and by the age of 12 had devoted her life to this consistently. She even had already painted portraits, walls and did some small illustrations to order at that time. She shared with us that she has always been drawn to the style of graphics and loved to draw with a pencil and that strokes and lines are her love.

Although she is only 23 years old she is quite the seasoned tattoo artist as she started tattooing 6 years ago when she was only 17. She was at University studying to be a Designer and a friend of hers that was interested in learning tattoo art had suggested she tag along to keep her company. They found a salon in their city and became students and the experience turned out to be a great one. She got to really show her talent and was immediately taken to study. It was then that she left University to focus on her art and so she began to train and gradually develop her skills. She is still to this day steadfast in the development of her craft which leaves little time for other hobbies and she believes this love and devotion is what fosters her uniqueness. Marselin shared that her childhood quality of perseverance has carried over into her adult life and it allows her to do something monotonous for hours which others may tire of quickly. She is well aware that she could not possibly become bored of her favorite thing.

One of Marselin's greatest accomplishments was moving to a big city. She currently resides in Mannheim, Germany and works at Ministry of Ink Studio (her favorite) which provides her with an abundance of work that does not allow time for guest spots. As a matter of fact people wait months for a tattoo appointment in her books. In the future this young artist would love to travel more. She has done a few conventions in Russia but ideally would like to attend some conventions worldwide. She ultimately dreams of living in America and becoming the best in her field with a global client list and awards of achievement stacking up.

We absolutely loved how open she was with us in getting to know her. When describing herself and her talents she shared that she believes her uniqueness is a direct result of her approaching the creation of each design scrupulously and that she puts her soul into it, creating a mini story in each of her pictures. The best compliment she has ever received was that she outgrew her master. Looking at her work, we can certainly see how that happened.

She is in a loving relationshop with her boyfriend of 5 years and they plan to marry. Ironically he is also a tattoo artist who was taught the art by none other than his talented girlfriend. This allows them to grow and develop together and they spend much of their time drawing side by side.

Marselin's ideal client is one that shares her love of dark and fairy tales. Her happiness lies in the constant development of herself as an artist and the support of her loved ones. She describes herself as gloomy, fabulous & mysterious. We thought of a quote that made us think of these self proclaimed qualities and how they come through in her work.
